Planning retainers apply exclusively to bespoke travel enquiries. Standard holiday quotations and straightforward package bookings do not attract a planning retainer.
By engaging Luxe Getaways for private travel advisory services, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.
1. Advisory Retainer
A one-off planning retainer secures dedicated professional time for travel research, itinerary development and personalised advisory services.
Retainers are charged per planning engagement, not per traveller, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The applicable retainer will be confirmed following your initial consultation and before chargeable work begins.
2. Commencement of Work
Planning and advisory services commence once payment has been received and the agreed scope of work has been confirmed.
Where you expressly request that advisory services begin during the applicable statutory cancellation period, you acknowledge that a proportionate charge may apply for services already provided if you subsequently cancel, in accordance with consumer law.
3. Scope of Service
Your planning retainer includes services appropriate to your selected advisory tier, which may include:
Additional revisions, significant itinerary changes or requests outside the original agreed brief may incur an additional advisory fee or require an upgraded advisory tier.
Any additional charges will be discussed and agreed before further work begins.
4. Proposal Validity
All travel quotations and proposals are subject to supplier availability, pricing fluctuations and applicable booking conditions until formally confirmed.
Payment of an advisory retainer does not guarantee flight availability, accommodation reservations or quoted travel prices.
Travel arrangements are only confirmed once the relevant supplier or organiser has accepted the booking and issued confirmation.
5. Separation from Travel Costs
The advisory retainer is separate from the cost of flights, accommodation, transfers, excursions and other travel arrangements.
Retainers are not deducted from the final holiday price unless expressly agreed in writing.
Additional booking and administration fees may apply where relevant and will be disclosed before the applicable service is provided.
6. Cancellation & Refunds
Advisory retainers cover professional planning, research and itinerary development services.
Where advisory work has commenced, cancellation and refund entitlements will be determined by the services already provided, the agreed terms and applicable consumer cancellation rights.
Where a statutory cancellation right applies, clients may cancel within the relevant period. If services have begun at the client's express request, a proportionate charge may be payable for work already completed.
Where the agreed advisory service has been fully performed during the cancellation period, the statutory right to cancel may be lost only where the legally required prior consent and acknowledgement have been obtained.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
7. Acceptance of Terms
Before payment, clients will be informed of the applicable advisory retainer, the agreed scope of services and any relevant additional charges.
By proceeding with payment and expressly accepting these terms, you confirm your agreement to the advisory engagement.
Where you request that advisory work begins during the statutory cancellation period, any legally required express consent and acknowledgement will be obtained separately before services commence.
Additional Booking & Administration Fees
Certain booking and administration services carry separate charges, regardless of whether a private advisory retainer applies.
